Let It Go

“Discontent, Contempt, Self-Pity, Complaints, cannot Serve as a foundation for a good future, no matter how much effort you make.” – Eckhart Tolle.

After this Article, I hope you get to understand that Grudges are like caterpillars. All they do is drain strength from you and help implant hatred towards whoever upset you.

However, if you’re struggling with forgiveness and feel like giving up, hold still! Forgiveness is a process you will need a lot of patience to acquire it.

First things first, we take a look at what forgiveness really means.

We have First,  Forgiveness means ceasing to feel resentment against somebody or something.

And then,  Forgiveness is an intentional process which an individual undergoes a change in feelings and attitude regarding an offense, by letting go of negative reactions with an increased ability to wish the offender well.

I like the second definition more. It touches exactly what REAL forgiveness is meant to be, Alongside Reconciliation.

Forgiveness is totally life Changing. You won’t know the quantity of  ‘burden’ you carry until you release them. Grudges occupy a large chunk of your heart refusing to move if *you* let them in. As soon as you learn to forgive, you get to be more relaxed around people and yourself too.

Peace Maker. Forgiveness is a ”peace maker.” You really need to know that forgiveness is not about anyone else as much as it’s about you. Unforgiveness Causes you to suffer in Silence and/or lament and become a burden to someone else. Everyone wants peace, but what can we do if ours is trampled upon? Forgive And Move on! Really difficult for starters but it’s worth it the Sacrifice!

*You do not need any apology. Forgiveness is ”Letting go from the heart.” Sometimes the person who offends you may or may not know he did so, or even be around for a heart- heart talk. So you’ll need to forgive and let go to open your heart and mind to the brighter side of life.

*It’s Self Development. So, I said earlier that Forgiveness is a process. A process to self-development. A process to letting go. A process for making and dwelling in peace. You ‘re responsible for your laughter, your tears, your sadness and your Anger. Determine how you use them. No one is in control of them other than you. And your ”Positive mindset” is the prime factor needed for your success.

Learn to forgive yourself for whatever thing you *feel* you have done wrong. Take corrections and apply them with *Wisdom.* Do not judge other people’s actions, let them be judged by the divine law of justice. And know that ”The key to being happy is knowing you have the power to choose what to accept and what to let go” –Dodinsky

Best Wishes,

Lawson.

Very nice article piece you have here. I love how short yet concise your articles are. There is indeed a kind of peace that you feel when you forgive someone even without receiving an apology.
One of my favorite bible verses about forgiveness is in the book of Psalm 130:3-4 (“If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared”) that goes to show that non of us is perfect.
